Questions, answered.

The things people usually ask before sending us their first enquiry. If your question isn't here, email us — we'll answer it directly, and probably add it to this page.

Email [email protected] or use our contact form. Include a short description, rough quantities, and photos if you can. We respond with indicative pricing within one business day.
Two main streams: electronic waste (computers, servers, phones, networking gear, screens, cables, circuit boards) and catalytic converters (whole units, de-canned monoliths, DPFs, sensors). If you're unsure whether something fits, email us a photo and we'll tell you.
Both. For volume jobs we arrange collection at a confirmed window. Smaller consignments can be dropped off by appointment. Drop-off arrangements will be expanded once our primary facility details are finalised.
Pricing is always itemised. E-waste is graded by stream and yield class; catalytic converters are priced on PGM (platinum, palladium, rhodium) content per assay. You receive a line-by-line breakdown before settlement — never a flat, lumped figure.
Yes. Every data-bearing device is tagged at intake and processed via either software wiping (NIST 800-88 standard) or physical destruction (shred / punch). You receive a serialised certificate of destruction listing every device.
A full closing report per consignment: intake manifest, photos, weighbridge tickets where applicable, grading breakdown, assay results (for PGM material), and certificates of destruction (for data-bearing devices). Everything an audit team would ask for.
No, and we never will. We only buy from sellers who can demonstrate legitimate ownership — scrapyards, panel shops, motor dealerships, exhaust workshops, and registered traders. Standard intake documentation is required for every consignment.
Within one business day. Most enquiries get a response same-day. For volume jobs we follow up with a more detailed quote after photos and weights are confirmed.
Nationwide South Africa. Volume jobs can usually be collected anywhere in the country with appropriate notice. For smaller consignments, we focus on the major centres — expand details once finalised.
EC Recycling is in active build-out. Our public phone line and physical address will be published once finalised. In the meantime, every enquiry comes through [email protected] — and gets answered.
